"Students per teacher: 15.5" How is that computed? The reality in a classroom may be 30+ children /teacher. Could you possibly provide a classroom ratio (actual student avg per teacher assigned in each class) vs a complete school ratio (ie counting principal, librarian, etc).

I've been teaching physed in N.Y. for the past 8 yrs and cant wait to get out. My salary is very good for a teacher, about 70,000 (with Masters degree) but would take a pay cut to teach elsewhere. I heard Tennesse was a great place to live and teach. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to live/teach? Thanks.
