Hi! After 10 years in mental/behavioral health, I am ready for a career change and am interested in becoming a teacher. I am interested in early childhood, 0-3rd grade because they are the formative years. I'm also interested in K-12th, but am not sure of which subjects I would teach, I like writing, phonics, spelling, and art though. In addition to teaching a subject, I am really interested in helping children learn how to express themselves effectively and appropriately and learn how to keep hold of who they truly are throughout their lives no matter what the familial, social, educational, and world of work wants them to be. I welcome any insight that would help me make my decision to be a teacher. Thanks!
