Nice starting salary! im way below that in my first year and that is not including the 2 grand i had to spend on my classroom
Hang in there SammieV, it does get better. Do you have your Master's in Ed? Florida is one of those states where it's quickly becoming essential to maintain a "good" standard of living.
I currently teach in NJ and I am thinking of relocating because all of my family will be down south sooner than later. I want to make sure the long-term benefits to teaching in FL are comparative and close to NJ. If we teach here for 25 years we get free medical for life. And our pension plan up here is good as well. Does anyone know where I can find more specific information on this info about FL? I've searched and called certain numbers and really haven't gotten any answers. Thanks
